Repost: Emancipate Halloween Jam

Justy posted this while I was down in Melbourne but it got taken down for some reason (Josh Irvine whinging). I'm putting it back up because A: The whole thing is very entertaining and B: Just because Josh makes a fool of himself and doesn't handle himself appropriately doesn't mean the video should be taken down for noone to see.

Nick Kajewski Interview

MW: Name, Age, Sponno’s, Favourite condom?
NK: Nick Kajewski. 22. Tempered bikes and Ride On Bmx store. I try and mix it up, haha.

MW: How do you spell your last name phonetically?
NK: Key-es-key

JB: How long have you been riding your bike for mate?
NK: Since Jesus played full back for the Jews.

JB: You recently made the move from good old T–bar to Brisbane to live with your best mate Jerry V, how is the change from Toowoomba to Brisbane city?
NK: We got a sweet crib close as to the city. I don't have to drive back to Toowoomba every Sunday night and thriller is just around the corner. Haha

JB: I have seen lately you have been doing a lot of filming with Chris Lembo, any bangin’ video parts we should start looking forward to seeing?
NK: Yea Lembo just got some ballin camera. So we have been filming for tempered and a little edit with diversity.

MW: How many barspins do you think you've thrown in your life?
NK: Not enough, haha.

JB: Can you tell us some highlights to your recent USA trip?
NK: Just seeing a whole diffrent culture and meeting new people is crazy, beer is sooo cheap, riding crazy spots ya see in DVDs and the unit is heaven.

JB: Are you looking forward to traveling overseas again?
NK: Bloody oath. Nothing better than travel.

JB: You have been riding for Tempered a fair while now, how is that going and can we expect some sig parts anytime soon?
NK: Yeah close to two sweet years now. Nah nothings been talked about sig parts yet but maybe I'll have to get Matty drunk and whisper something in his ear, haha.

JB: What have you been riding more of lately? Street park or Dirt?
NK: Everthing mate!

MW: If you were stuck on an island and only had one DVD to watch for the rest of your life, what would it be?
NK: The Castle.

JB: Who have been your influences growing up riding?
NK: Van Homan fo sure. Jerry V too, we seem to influence each other on and off the bike.

JB: I know I speak for many people when I say you have the most smooth, effortless style, have you always been into making stuff look good or were you once a supermega trick dog?
NK: Haha yea I guess I was. I snapped my acl a couple years back and it changed my view on Bmx and how's there is way more to it than busting you balls trying to keep up with Daniel Dhers.

JB: We all love to have a cold beer, Tell me Nick, Whats your favourite brew?
NK: I don't mind a cold vb!

Cam White's Hillside Dirtjam Highlights Video

Here's the Highlights of Cam White's hillside jam that went down last weekend, the jumps in here are insane and there are some nasty crashes, especially Chris Harti's crash. Dane Searls took out King of the Hill, Cam Pianta won best trick and Josh Stead took out a well deserved best style.

Cam White's Hillside Jam Teaser.

Heres a teaser and some information on Cam Whites Hillside Jam that went down last saturday, cant wait to see the highlights, jumps are huggggggge!

Well, despite all the bad weather and issues with lighting and the rest, Cam White's Hillside Dirtjam went off without a hitch. So many amazing riders turned up and put on crazy show for the 1500 fans sprawled up the hillside at Cam's trails. We are working on a full highlights clip to be released this week, but in the meantime, check out the clip above of 3rd time King Of The Hill, Unit athlete Dane Searls! We didn't want to show you to much yet, so the run is just during practice, but the supermans Searlsy can do are definitely the biggest on the planet right now, and we can't get enough of watching Dane hang of the back of the bike over these 40 footers. Dane just went wild, and you couldn't wipe the smile off his face. He was busting everything out from 3 double whips, to flip no handers, and even had a go a new trick he has been working on... the flip double can to whip! Cam Pianta wound up with the Best Trick award again, after throwing a massive front flip over the 40 foot / big dog transfer, which is a hard enough jump for any world class rider, without throwing a super hard trick like a fronty in the mix! So congrats to you 2 guys on that, especially Pianta for coming back after a huge slam earlier which left his whole face looking like he had just done 12 rounds with Mike Tyson. Best style again went to Josh Stead, this guy is a trooper! He had so many big slams, and his whole face was busted up and bleeding, but he just kept riding, and aside from having amazing style, he has the big tricks as well to back it up. One huge crash was had by young Cris Harti, this kid is the toughest lad on the hill. He went for a huge downside whip over the transfer line, and basically fell from over 25 feet in the air, over a 40 foot gap, straight to the flat, landing almost ina belly flop position. He was knocked out cold for a while there, and got taken hospital. But we noticed he was facebooking this morning, commenting how hot his nurse is. So things must be ok for the legend. Next time we catch up mate, we can hook you up with a Jack and Coke. hahah cheers All in all, things went great, but just stay tuned to the Unit website this week for the highlights clip, we guarantee it will blow your mind!

Reece Jones

Reece Jones, 16 years old. If you like supermega goodness, this is one you definately dont want to miss. This kid comes up with an edit every month and always betters his last one.

Tempered X The Come Up Exclusive - Michael Vockenson

At long last here is the edit I edited for Tempered and The Come Up of Tempered's newest addition. Pretty stoked on how it turned out. Filmed by Matt Lawton and Adrian Duffy.

Also thanks to Adam for linking to my post before. Bring on the scooter hate! Check out the TCU post here.

Tom Stretton Welcome to Colony Edit

John Young filmed and edited this awesome edit of T-Strett for Colony. Some fucked up front wheel wizardry in here. The nose manual at the end is redic!

RNV Vol 4

New video from Rhys Newling. Good vibe to this. The skateboard powerslide was pretty epic.

What is this?

Is this the same thing as the clip of Adrian Stratford we posted the other day? Still looks like a vertical tailwhip of Dave Mirra 2 if you ask me.

PS. No, it is not fucking a bri flip. I refuse to accept that a trick on a bmx be named after a scooter trick. Scooters are the gayest thing on earth and when they die out and return to the place of dead fads along with yoyos and pokemon cards the world will be a better place.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

This is on the BackboneBMX main page...

Primary Threads Roadtrip

Mega stoked on this, Ryan Lloyd is a massive shredder and there is some sweet skating in here too, good to see them mixing it up. Spotted on Primary.

Crispy!

Its the brainchild of Sunny Coast shredder Michael Vockenson with guest appeances by my hunky manlover Samson Ross and even Matt Lawton. Click here to check out Crispy Stream.

PS. Keep your eyes peeled for an edit of Mike I just edited which should be dropping very shortly...

Ryan Lloyd Welcome to United

South Australia's resident stylecat Ryan Lloyd got hooked up by United through Stowaway a few weeks back and this is his welcome to the team edit. Awesome. Spotted on Ugzine

Jedi Jam 2010

Allan Hardy sent in this video of the Jedi Jam that went down in NZ last weekend, fair few Aussie shredders in this including Shane Conlon, Colin Mackay, Cam Pianta and Vince Byron, the jumps look real nice and the riding in it is insane, check it out! Apparently Jed Mildon organised it so props to him for what looked to be a great day of BMX!

Charlsy Jam..

Dean Anderson and his mates are holding a jam at Warragul skatepark on Saturday the 6th for Charlsy, who sadly passed away about a year ago. There's no flyer but head over to Thistownsucks for more info and get behind them!

Flatline/Ugzine Video Comp.

Photobucket

Flatline and Ugzine have got a give away happening at the moment, deadline is Sunday the 21st of February at 9pm. Email your link through to stayfresh@ugzine.com.

What you need to do is film and create a edit... but we're going to give the frame to the funnest, most creative edit... not just to the most bangin' omg wtf edit. Points obviously go to fun and creativity, but also to the quality of the edit itself. Riding comes into it at some point I guess, but it's not what I'm looking for!

Joe Dodd for Leaf Lycles

Man, the production value of this is awesome! Definitley a step in the right direction for Aussie BMX videos. Sent in by Matt from CTN Imports, who do Leaf Cycles here in Aus.

"Joe Dodd, an English BMX rider who has recently moved to Australia, takes us on a tour around some of Sydney's most iconic streets, parks and locations."

Jase Bannan FP Edit.
